Jos has been for some time making some extra pocket money by fixing things, re-selling things for his friends, ordering stuff for them from Amazon and charging for the privilege, spotting things at car boot sale and then selling them online but this summer he started more serious business. He buys CDs/DVDs from car boot sale for as little as possible (never going above 25p per disk – he is getting very good at haggling) and then selling them online. This means that we now tend to return from car boot sales with the car boot half full with disks and spend most of Sunday afternoons entering the barcodes from disks onto a website that buys them. Then you just box the disks up and the company sends a courier to collect them. And two weeks later Joseph receives a nice fat cheque in the post. His record for one week so far (one Sunday, two boot sales) was a profit of £160 – not bad. Only pity that the weather is now getting worse and this cannot be done all year round.

Joseph už si nějakou dobou přivydělával opravami různých elektronických hračiček, prodáváním/kupováním věcí přes internet pro kamarády (má na to i sazby), výhodným nákupem na burze a pak prodáním online (za server za pět liber na amazonu dostal čtyřicet), ale tohle léto začal vážnější podnikání. Na burze začal co nejlevněji skupovat cédéčka (nejde nad 25 pencí za jedno a stal se z něho docela tvrdý smlouvač), která pak prodává po internetu. Takže se z každé burzy vracíme tak s půl kufrem auta disků a většinu nedělního odpoledne strávíme zadáváním čárových kódů. Pak už to jen všechno dát do krabice a, když má disků víc než sto, což je skoro vždy, společnost pro to i zdrama pošle až do domu kurýrní službu. A za pár týdnů mu přijde šek s platbou. Nejvýhodnější týden to byl zisk asi 160 liber (sice jeden den, ale dvě burzy) a průměr je tak kolem stovky. Škoda jen, že se nám teď bude horšit počasí a že to není podnikání celoroční.
