Jak jsem pěstovala angrešt Gooseberries

Jedním z mého oblíbeného ovoce je angrešt. Jelikož už máme dvě jablůnky a švestku, které úspěšně rok po roce ovoce mají spousty, před pár lety jsem začala zkoušet právě i angrešt. Ostružiny nám tu rostou divoké, tak jsem k němu ještě většinou přidala maliník a červený rybíz, ty má zase oblíbené Joseph. Výsledky mého zahradničeni.

Rok 1 = dva angrešty zcela odmítly růst a uschnuly

Rok 2 = angrešty úspěšně zničené slepicemi a hlemýždi

Rok 3 = Hurá, uzrály nám první čtyři kuličky angreštu.

Jestli to takhle bude pokračovat, do deseti let nebudu vědět, co s tím vším angreštem dělat.

Gooseberries are one of my favourite fruits. We already have some pretty good apple trees, plum tree and blackberries (these are of course wild as almost everywhere in England) so many moons ago I decided to try some gooseberry plants as well. And it went like this

Year 1 - two gooseberry plants simply refused to grow and dried out

Year 2 - chickens and snails managed to distroy my second lot

Year 3 - Hooray, we harvested the first four gooseberries (and lovely they were).

If this trend continues, I am not sure what I will do with all those gooseberries in ten years' time.
