Takže 3:0 pro počasí.
To je kolikrát nad námi minulý týden zvítězilo a my skončili se zapnutým topením. V rámci ekonomičtějšího chodu domácnosti jsme topení původně vypnuli začátkem dubna. Ale počasí nás trochu převezlo. Minulou sobotu jsme to konečně vzdali, když jsme v baráku chodili v bundách a vnitřní teploměr ukazoval nějakých čtrnáct stupnů. Něco totiž zapomnělo říct počasí, že je polovina května, a tak se teploty pohybovaly mezi nulou a až jedenácti či dvanácti stupni. Dokonce jsme se minulý týden dvakrát probudili a venku měla všechna auta zamrlá okna (což se málokdy stává i v zimě).
Zvířátkům to nevadilo, odnesl to pouze meloun. Jahodám počasí nějak vyhovuje a kvetou o sto šest, ukazují se už i ředkvičky a cibule.
Ale začíná do vypadat lépe, máme už druhý den sluníčka s jen pár mráčky a dnes se to vyšplhalo na 14 a na zítra slibují 18.
Mimo jiné i zdejší noviny psaly, že počasí je na nic, že je větší zima než v Moskvě či Praze. Jen jsem si říkala, jestli to není tím, že v Moskvě a Praze mají pořádné čtyři roční doby, což spoustě lidí uniká.
3:0 for the weather
That is how many times we gave up last week and ended up switching on the heater (the thermometer inside did not climb above 14 and we took to wearing our winter clothes). Someone forgot to tell the weather that it is mid-May and the outdoor temperature were between zero and twelve (it is May!). Twice in the week all cards in the road had their windscreen frozen when I took the dogs out in the morning.
The frost killed our water melon plant but the strawberries seem to really prosper and flower a lot. Radishes and onions are also coming out.
Well, it is not all lost. We have 14 degrees today and the weather forecast is 18 for tomorrow and Tuesday. We even had some sunshine today and yesterday. Hooray!
The papers wrote earlier in the week that it is even colder then in Moscow and Prague. No wonder, they have four proper seasons there.
